In collaboration with Elizabeth Carr, this show was developed to honor the symbolism surrounding Totems, a system of belief in which humans are said to have kinship or a mystical relationship with a spirit-being, such as an animal or plant. All of my pieces were created in a strong vertical format – in which artifacts and embellishments were then embedded to communicate the significance of each and the fundamental interconnection of all things.
